PRIZE NITE REPORT

          Montfort celebrated its Annual Concert with unprecedented funfare on 1st Feb 2020. The school was decorated elegantly. The convention hall was prepared for the occasions. The day was graced with Mr. Bijay Selvaraj (I.F.S), Alumni of Montfort, Rev. Bro. Johnson the Provincial Superior of Yercaud Province and Rev. Bro. Herman Bijay Lakra the Provincial Superior of Ranchi Province. Thanking is not sufficient for the endless patience, motivation and persistence. Two of our staff members Mrs. Manimala and Mrs. Lathika retiring this year were also special guests of the day Children with great zeal and enthusiasm received the guests as a note of welcome. Guests were felicitated with floral bouquet, ponnadai and a memento. After the welcome dance prize distribution was conducted to felicitate and recognize the talent of students in various fields. Rev. Bro. Bijay Lakra in his speech focussed on the 5H – in the overall development of a child Happy, Healthy, Honest, Humble, High thinking. He narrated incidents which explained the need of the hour. He said for all education of heart is more important than the education of the mind. All the hard work, the sacrifices, all the sleepless nights, struggles and downfalls will pay off. In Montfort, Brothers value the meritorious work of the teachers. So the teachers who secured centum in various subjects were awarded. Rev. Bro. Johnson, the Provincial Superior with perfect articulation advised children about choosing a career. He said before choosing a career you have to broaden your knowledge and equip yourself for the career. The audience comprising of the parents, old boys and well wishers were captivated by the enchanting performances of the students and the soulful symphony of the budding musicians. Chief Guest in his speech shared his nostalgic memories he had in his Alma Mater. He expressed his gratitude and gratefulness to his past brothers and teachers. The entire school participated wholeheartedly towards the success of this grand event.

          The triumph was possible by the relentless efforts of our Principal. The grandeur of the finale – the farewell song by class XII left the audience enthralled.
