Admission procedure to Std. XI will commence in February. Registration forms will be issued from the 1st week of February. Candidates (boys & girls) desirous of admission to Std XI may apply with attested * copies of their Std. X marks for the Quarterly and Half yearly examinations.
* Attestation may be done by the Principal/ Head Master of the school last studied or by any I.A.S / I.P.S officer or by the local Parish Priest.
Boarding facility is made available for the girl students who require it at ‘Marie Louis Trichet Home’(MLT) at Carmel Lynne. Separate lady staff will take care of them. The students are subject to all the rules and regulations of Montfort School and the boarding.
Montfort students should have a minimum average of 70% in all subjects,(Quarterly and Half yearly exam marks taken together). Students applying from outside should have a minimum average of 90 % in all subjects, in the Std X Public examination.
Conditionally selected candidates for Std. XI will be intimated about the same (with the group allotted) by the third week of March/ April. The selection will be confirmed only when the results of the Std. X Board/Government examinations are published.
Again during the month of June, when the results of Std. X Board/Government examinations in Tamil Nadu and in other States are being published, a few more Registration forms will be issued (subject to availability of seats). The selection of candidates and allotment of Groups will be based on their performance in Std. X for the Quarterly, Half Yearly and also in the Government/ Board examinations.
Provisionally selected students with their parents are requested to come in person to complete the admission formalities on the appointed date.
At the time of admission you are requested to bring with you the following original certificates: (This is applicable to the students from Stds. III to XI)
- Birth Certificate (issued by the corporation/ municipality) (affidavits will not be accepted)
- In addition to the Birth Certificate, Christian students must also submit the Baptism Certificate.
- Transfer Certificate from the school last attended. (countersigned by the Local Educational Authority in the case of other state students of Std. VII and above. If there is a delay in obtaining the Transfer Certificate, a Course Certificate should be obtained from the school last attended along with an under taking by the parent stating that the T.C. will be produced on or before the re-opening day.
- In the case if students who are provisionally admitted to Std. XI, the original qualifying examination mark list along with the transfer certificate and conduct certificate must be submitted in the school office within 3 days after the issue of the mark list by the Department of Education, Government of Tamil Nadu/ or the corresponding Board. Only on submission of the above mentioned particulars, your admission to Std. XI will be confirmed.
- Community Certificate (recently obtained–not exceeding 3 years) If you are not interested in the benefit of a Community Certificate, you may give a declaration stating that you belong to ‘Forward Community’.
- Blood Group Certificate.
- Vaccination Certificates (against Small pox/ Polio/ Hepatitis, B & E (A if available)
- In addition to these certificates you are requested to bring –
- Two 2B size photographs (Child seated in the middle with the Father and Mother on either side)
- Two self-addressed stamped (Rs.35/-), long envelopes.
note:
- The Boarder form should be carefully filled up. Alterations in it will not be permitted later on.
- Those who fail to turn up for the interview and for admissions as per the instruction will automatically forfeit the seat. No excuse will be entertained, whatsoever be the reason.
- No recommendations will be entertained regarding admissions.
- There are no middle persons/ third persons regarding admissions and other internal affairs of the school.
- The Principal and the Admission Committee have no spokesmen or representatives other than themselves.
